I'm feeling dissatisfied with my drawings. Like I feel like my storytelling has *improved* to the point where I'm now better able to spot poor use of negative space and overlap, and lack of technical familiarity with guns and vehicles is really obvious to me. Like it's time to hit the books. Does that make sense?

@Leucrotta I hope the improvement process goes as well as it can. I know I sometimes get discouraged when I look at my work and see my shortcomings, but I think it's a sign of improvement, since learning to "see" things better is a first step toward drawing better.

@ziphi this is definitely some sort of improvement thing - I'm keenly aware that some of my drawings are *kinda* there but not really, and I feel like there were some technical skills with perspective and spotting darks that I picked up recently which got me to the point of "yeah, but this is still not all that good."

And as soon as I step out of fantasy my lack of technical skill becomes obvious. I can draw guns, tanks etc great! But I don't KNOW guns, tanks etc to make up believable ones.
