Have you ever considered Snow White works in classical Egypt?
You know; the huntsman can’t kill her so abandons her in the desert. She’s poisoned with a fig or pomegranate and the dwarves mummify her, to sleep until her true prince awakens her by placing magic parchment between her lips?
If I draw this SW is gonna be an Ethiopian woman to counter the oh so pure pale mythology.
@Leucrotta YESSSS. the wicked priest draws out her ba (see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ancient_Egyptian_concept_of_the_soul#B.C3.A2_.28personality.29 ) and traps it in a vessel, and the hero must find the correct vessel and return her ba. I would love to see this! and I'm tempted to write it up as a short story now... ;)
