Suddenly the coffeeshop didn't just have other occupants in this back room, but specifically a father explaining to grade school age daughter that no they're not gonna be 100% the day after spiking a fever
and uh I was thinking about HORRIFYING DEBAUCHERY before this happened, which okay I shouldn't be doing in a coffeeshop anyway, and it's totally like a bucket of ice water with extra bleach upended over you while showering. (Don't ask how I know what that feels like.)

@Jssra oh, I only went to a summer camp away from home once (as opposed to the day camp summer, which was really brutal), and this kid who'd decided to victimize me in general decided that they'd dump cold water and bleach over me in the shower, also while making fun of me so that I was really reluctant to leave (this was a little single user shower thing, not like one of the big group stall things).
re: whiiiiiine
@Jssra he did this several times. Teenage boys inhabit a pretty cruel world; I can’t imagine the one for teenage girls is any better.

@Leucrotta It's pretty much Lord of the Flies until /maybe/ the senior year of high school.
re: whiiiiiine
@Leucrotta ...With no consideration for the odds of getting bleach in your eyes, or anything. *headdesk*
