re: adhd, decluttering
@mk1679_rocket@weirder.earth This advice is solely based in personal experience, as an adult with ADD and hobbies.
Buy large, sturdy stacking plastic tubs with locking lids. I'm partial to Mastercraft Heavy Duty Storage Totes, model 102-L - photo attached. You'll want at least nine.
Put all your stuff in them. Throw away only garbage. Don't bother labelling, sorting or organizing, it's wasted on us. Pack neatly, don't overfill - you'll need to be able to lift these semi-regularly.
When the boxes are full, stack them against one wall, three by three (or more as needed). When you need something, go through each box one at a time, repacking each as you go through it.
If you want to optimize this over time, keep an empty box close to the top: always put the supplies you use back into that box. Check that box first the next time you work on a project: most frequently used tools, supplies and books will gradually migrate there.
Eventually, if you find you never need to open a box in a given year, store it or.reconsider its value to you.
