Look the important thing is that the main character the CEO of the mecha-making company battled their tamagotchi monsters in the second episode and it was super cute.

"I heard from my Dad that some animals can mutate because of hormones" is meant to justify a childlike fear of monsters in the sewer but what it actually reads like to me is that HRT turns people into hot kaiju monsters.

By the way the mecha are controlled by sticking your hands into these gooey spheres. They connect your nervous system to the rest of the liquid that acts like blood in the mecha, basically connecting your nervous system with all the hardware and the nervous system of the other pilot.

But more importantly they're slimy as hell and everytime people take their hands out of them it looks like they fisted a slimegirl
