@Motodrachen The ethics on this seem a little iffy <3
Unless said person has consented to you trying to ram a crowbar in of course, identity play while hot is a bit of a moral quagmire :p
@IrisKalmia @Motodrachen On the last note.
I am probably rather open to identity play as a psychological treatment >//>
Definitely consenting at least
plural, hypno mention, gender, also adding CW because I think it gets heavy here
@Motodrachen @IrisKalmia You know you currently described my situation with Max too precisely?
I guess he's fronting right now, but not sure. But the urge to be put into a semi-hypnotized state is strong and the change I want others do to me is pretty specific.
re: plural, hypno mention, gender, also adding CW because I think it gets heavy here
@Motodrachen My first-hand experience with AI so far is more with those you subject to extreme pain for them to learn.
Thinking about it, traumatizing them, to do what you want sounds bad.
Anyway. I have my dom who helps me there, putting the right things in, but he's also not perfect.
Like, he's a singlet cis dude. He does well, but still lacks some experiences.
Also misinterpreting signs damages a lot.
re: plural, AI
@Motodrachen Well, the comment was more on the AI part.
I know what is done in science, I experimented with it, in a science manner.
Now I realize how much torture it is.
We tell ourselves that the networks can't feel, but that's a definition thing.
Though, regardless of how you put it, it's a lot of pain, trauma and torture we put onto these networks, to make them do what we want.
Again though, this is what we do in "machine learning".
re: plural, AI
@Motodrachen I see it more as bending a living thing to your will.
Rob it off all agency and make it do your bidding.
To me it makes sense, because it's...
What I experienced?
It's hard to tell, but it feels right to say, but also hard to articulate.
Just. People wanted to make me into something I am not. That shattered me. That made me into many.
The same thing. The constant pain, with little gain, I just realize is used there too.
And it feels horrible.
re: plural, AI
@maxine Tohi: And the other way around, Too. Keri ended up a dumping ground for all sorts of Toxic stuff because she had an affinity for it, and didn't know how much was Too Much.
On top of that, there's being a Feeling thing, a Thinking thing, and then a self aware thing. in that order.
Most people think it's Feeling>Self-awareness>thinking, but no. You can be a thinking feeling creature and not be self-aware, even as a singlet.
I saw Two People go through those stages of metamorphosis from the Inside, and several more from the outside. We're Dragons, so our metaphor is...
Well, an Egg can feel, can develop almost-thoughts and can Project if the Subconscious (Soul) mind developing in there is strong enough.
Then they Hatch, and can Think and Talk and even Front if they're strong willed enough, but they fall apart easily and suffer autistic freakouts easy. Because they're not a whole Person yet.
And then you get to a certain point where they Decide that they want to be a certain way. This is like Dragon Puberty. They're not a little genderless colorless whelp any more, and they wanna look the part. Self-awareness is kinda a Big thing. And it can come in stages.
Kerithe was the crazy runaway teenager who emancipated at sixteen and went right for all three at once and kinda fucked up all three at once.
Yaori got here and built herself from the inside out like Dr. Goddamn Manhattan. And then went through the whole process of being an Egg and hatching and growing up, all in Dream-time. So, mega fast-forward.
And funny thing happened along the way. Because of our Beliefs, when the Universe hands you an immaculate, impossible child, you've got some commandments for the care of said child.
"Never been lonely, never been lied to, never had to scuffle in fear, nothing denied to. Born at the instant the church bell chimes, and the whole world whispering: Born at the right time"
And it worked. You want a supreme being, they've gotta know about suffering, and pain. But they can't Grow Up that way.
re: plural, AI
@Motodrachen In this artificial manner though, it is harder to distinguish.
When are you part of another, when are you your own?
Networks have their own thoughts, their own memory, their own being, but they make up a whole.
There are always many, but when are you separate enough to be your own?
Is it good to be separate? (yes)
Are there always many? (Maybe)
It's a lot more of a mess, but the base idea is the same and I highly agree. Just, that my perspective is different.
re: plural, AI
@Motodrachen I mean, even from an AI perspective (and I came to the conclusion that only people, who never experienced any but "the human condition", think that thinking comes after self-awareness)
Though, self-awareness is a requirement to optimize best, though I get off topic.
I guess in my words, it's networks learning that they are a distinct sub-network?
That they have their own weights, inputs and outputs. That they're separate, but a part of.
