Cultural Appropriation (Native American) (Help!)

Guys, I'm having a bit of trouble here and if I had more time I'd go and talk to the medicine man we know Directly.

This has been happening for a while, and because I was chasing being an Engineer, it was a non-issue.

But I've been having to be a Shaman more and more, been trying to be as Pantheistic and Pluralistic as possible, and most of it is Fine, except one troubling thing.

I'm Irish and Polish, living in Massachusetts. I never questioned why native american spirits could talk to me. I figured I was basically in Their living room, so I minded my manners.

This year though, I had several supernatural experiences that could only be Native magic. I've been Around the real thing, see above with the Medicine Man.

So like, uh... Is there like a Native American version of a Janissary? Because working Celtic magic is Way harder than doing the same thing with Native magic.
I dunno, maybe you get Fae-Born somewhere way too far from the Mounds, they have to find locally-sourced Fae for you. In my case, that'd be the Puckwudgie.

And Tohri was always kinda "Ox, but Dragon"

...Doesn't take a lotta imagination to think if you dropped a Buffalo spirit into an Irish kid's head, he'd get interpreted as a wingless dragon.
