@Motodrachen you got contacts in the SCA? because 3/16 polypropylene makes good street-grade trauma plates, and a brigandine of the stuff with added organ-plates will turn pretty much any blade and disperse blunt force well. it's also light, low-profile, and quieter than steel.

@hyratel My design concept had molded ABS as a backing material, with .250" HDPE as a fronting plate, and motorcycle tires overlaid.

Either that or ABS plastic and sapphire structural fiberglass with steel organ plate.

Armor myself with a Boat keel.

@Motodrachen I feel like ABS is too brittle-hard; PP I know is used commonly for SCA armor. it's a lot more bouncy than ABS
