Hey so uh. I just read XTC69 and it seems...... really transphobic? Am I crazy?? It erases trans men entirely and assumes no trans women would be capable of reproducing.

@irisjaycomics Borderline. It makes a specific reference to people transitioning to female, and that they wouldn't force anyone to live in a body that doesn't match their identity? But the way it's done doesn't allow for trans women with penises at all, and asserts that Everyone became female (and specifically incapable of producing sperm) because it was more socially advantageous in their culture - which is....... not good.

Honestly it feels so strongly Vintage Lesbian Separatist that the bits about gender identity are bizarrely out of place.

@irisjaycomics Chad thinks it's meant to be satirical of aggressive binary themes in old science fiction? It doesn't read that way to me, but I'm not sure if that's just because it hits too close to home with some of the awful takes I see within the queer community. :x
