As a h*ckin' queer super minority who has been the target of a lot of online abuse over the years, I sincerely appreciate the protective feeling this wonderful community inspires.
I feel like I can be myself here, and I know I'll feel the same way tomorrow because the compassionately enforced Code of Conduct is designed to foster inclusivity and compassion over hatred and abuse.
Awoo is a magical place, and the efforts of those involved are beyond appreciated. ♥️✨
@mawr I miss something? I mean, generally speaking I appreciate it so, so much too ^.^
whitelist discourse
@mawr thanks for explaining it!
Awoo.space is a Mastodon instance where members can rely on a team of moderators to help resolve conflict, and limits federation with other instances using a specific access list to minimize abuse.
While mature content is allowed here, we strongly believe in being able to choose to engage with content on your own terms, so please make sure to put mature and potentially sensitive content behind the CW feature with enough description that people know what it's about.
Before signing up, please read our community guidelines. While it's a very broad swath of topics it covers, please do your best! We believe that as long as you're putting forth genuine effort to limit harm you might cause – even if you haven't read the document – you'll be okay!
whitelist discourse
@Oneironott Yeah, there's been a few statements made by others who feel whitelist-only Mastodon servers are morally wrong and/or that they only serve to encourage the growth of toxic communities or some such. It's been a very hurtful thread to many of the folks involved with awoo.
