Parental Gratitude

20 years ago, my mother divorced my father. My formative years were raised in a matriarchy. My younger sister and my single mother were the only other family in the house.

After it was discovered that I was on the spectrum, my mother faught and advocated for me all the way until I graduated high school.

I'll never take for granted her abundant compassion, love, and patience. With those virtues, I want to give back to the world in the fullest way possible.
