I wonder if you can get metal playing cards, and whether they'd actually be any good for playing card games with.

It feels like something that would be more appealing to the tarot fortunetelling crowd than to anyone playing card games, for some reason.

@Rosemary I remember reading some classic sci-fi where they used metallic playing cards on a slightly magnetized board in order to play poker in space. That sounded nifty.

A quick Amazon search didn't show any that were actually metal, only metallic colored paper.

@Mycroft @Rosemary yeah, I couldn't find any either. A 2014 Kickstarter that was supposedly manufacturing steel and copper playing cards, but I couldn't find any sign of anyone who actually got a deck of metal playing cards and did anything with it.

@Mycroft I wonder if metal would even be the best option for that, or if it would be better to use some kind of laminate with a magnetic alloy powder, like a flat powder core.
