Linux (fedora) internet troubles
So my internet is *not* in fact working. I deleted the old wired internet preferences but network won't let me add the new modem. When I run /sbin/ifconfig it still brings up the old modem settings first, so apparently my delete didn't do anything.
I'm wondering if:
A. I should download a different version of Linux that has more support
B. Say fuck it and get windows 10 (which I might still be able to get for free through UC Davis)
C. Cry
Any suggestions?
Linux (fedora) internet troubles
Sorry, I guess I was looking less for specific help than I was for general guidance. I want to know if I should try sticking with this version of Linux or giving up and installing an OS that's easier for me to use.
Linux (fedora) internet troubles
A. Okay, that's good to know.
B. I don't think I'll need to, but I will definitely let you know if I get there.
C. Thank you. I'm just frustrated, and don't have the spoons to properly address the problem right now. I will try more trouble shooting later, because I suspect there's a simple solution and I'm just too impatient to find it right now. If I still need help I will contact with you and provide more specific information.
Thanks Tavvy. <3
