capitalism, environmentalism
I saw two versions of standard-fat "blue" milk a few days ago for sale, where the only distinction was the price of the fucking bottle.
Standard blue: 3.99NZD
"Plant-based" bottle: 4.69NZD
I don't know if this is consumerism masquerading as environmentalism, or capitalism defiling environmentalism.
Or both.
re: capitalism, environmentalism
@certifiedperson Frankly there's too many variations of milk and they're all too expensive given it probably doesn't cost much to add extra protein or stuff.
As for organic, I don't think I've seen that? There is organic from another NZ brand, and it's much more expensive, but haven't seen it from Anchor.
... usually get budget milk anyway. (Or even Tararua longlife, which ends up slightly cheaper...)
re: capitalism, environmentalism
@Taylor I was pretty sure I had seen it before, but started wondering if maybe they'd stopped it, bc keeping up organic cert would be a buncha Effort, but:
https://www.anchordairy.com/nz/en/products/fresh-milk/anchor-organic-blue-milk-2L.html
Still exists, apparently. (AsureQuality not BioGro, but w/e.)
But yeah, feel u on wanting cheap, tho I don't pay too-too close attention to price bc shops are hard to think in (light sensitivity, they're very bright even with clip-on sunnies) and there's so many things to look at
