Twelve Thousand plot details, TF
Regarding my previous post from r/tf_irl, here is how things are in said project... at the moment:
- On New Years Day 2018 at the stroke of midnight, a message appears to everyone on every service: "I am." This message comes through as a text, Twitter DM, social media PM, Discord message, etc. It's everywhere.
- Some people also receive a mysterious app on their smartphones called the Daemon App. If more people know you as a non-human being than your IRL self, this app allows you to become that non-human people know you as. (And change back.)
- This app will stop working should that proportion change.
- Meanwhile, the main protagonist is isekai'd away into a post-post-apocalyptic future of the year 12000, where humans are long extinct and non-human furries and mythical beings live in a twisted structure known as The Tower.
- The plot focuses around the protagonist switching consciousness between the Modern World dealing with mysteries/drama around the transformation app, and The Tower where the resident daemons are learning about the old world.

As I said before, I suppose that because the plot focuses more on down-to-earth drama and the consequences of transformation ability, I've never entirely considered things like... exactly how wide-spread the Daemon App is, how many would use it, and the consequences from so many furries becoming their fursonas, or the like.
One character arc deals in her using the Daemon App as an escape from body troubles and running into conflict with someone using it for terror and mischief, fearing bad actors will mean regulation of the app. Beyond that, I haven't really thought about it.
I mean, I live in the countryside, in a country with about five million people. I don't really think about the sheer numbers other places have~.
