music doodle, no fade
more dicking around with alien music theory I made up, combined with (sorta) electro house I guess
came out really jazzy sounding? that melody after 16 bars in sucks but ehh had to come up with something on the spot
"thaminga what the actual fuck is that chord progression"
I'm glad you asked:
G#(I)Maj7
B(III)Maj7
E(VI)Maj7 - D#(V)Maj6/C(IV)min7
C(IV)Maj7 - D#(V)min6/Gb(bVII)7b5
writing these things out gets fucky when you have 8 scale degrees
music doodle followup, nonsensical music theory
oh also I fucked up with writing out the chord progression lmao it's actually
G#(I)Maj7
B(III)Maj7
E(VI)Maj7 - D#(V)Maj6/C(IV)min7
C(IV)Maj7 - D#(V)min6/Gb(bVII)Maj6b5/C(IV)min7b5
that last chord is so goddamn ambiguous there's three different ways to interpret it, even though it's not actually -that- dissonant
really pushes it back to the root I suppose
music doodle followup, nonsensical music theory
like honestly I was tempted to write off this mode (1 2 b3 b4{3} 5 b6 #6/b7 7) of this scale as completely useless but those chords are actually kind of amazing
writing melodies still proves uh, challenging, though
may want to follow the chords more closely or just ignore them altogether and have a riff with just the root in mind and let that keep the rest of this mess grounded somewhat
