species identity stuff

Can't believe it'll be 10 years tomorrow that I began to feel something non-human and kangarooish about my identity and developed a lifelong special interest in kangaroos all from ONE fateful peek at wikipedia's photo of the day (which was an eastern grey kangaroo) when I was 14 and then suddenly feeling like a click formed and wanting to read EVERYTHING about kangaroos and just

I am enfwnkjweng 10 years of being roo!!!??

re: species identity stuff

@EGKangaroo hell yeah!!! 💙

I started getting my first werewolf feels when I was about 14 so I'm coasting on 13 years of that mess myself, even if it fell by the wayside as anything other than an ever-present footnote for a long time

@Thaminga It's really cool and amazing and it's just one of the coolest things about being autistic when you develop a special interest and how really REALLY wanting to find out everything about your special interest is like a tool that actually helps you figure out your own identity along the way too.

re: species identity stuff

@EGKangaroo yeah!!! spectrum-wise I only have ADHD myself, but sometimes things just resonate -super- hard and all of a sudden you discover parts of yourself you didn't think were there 💙
