I kind of wanna slip out of the house unnoticed and run through the forest at night and think about deer.

I feel kind of weird that I hadn't felt this way about my kangaroo identity in a long time, but the deer identity thing is new to me, and I unlocked it so recently and I just feel like I'm finally giving it the space it needs. I'm embracing it, taking care of it, cherishing it like a little flame in my heart that's been hidden for so long.
It's still so small and young, and in need of love and care. It's still so fragile...I feel so bad that i had ignored this part of my identity so long.

@EGKangaroo This reflects a lot of how I've been feeling about my own werewolf self, honestly. While it's been present in -some- way or another for well over a decade and definitely left its influence on other sides of myself (including when I was far more alien-leaning), it'd kind of fallen by the wayside as a thing of its own for the lion's share of that time.
Of course, with Thaminga moving away from the permanent limelight all that ended up coming back *hard*, and I fully intend to nourish this part of me. 💙

@EGKangaroo *nodnods!* "Alien" as an identity for me as a whole is probably done for, but Thaminga hirself is still a very important part of me, and shi's not going anywhere. There's a reason I use the term "transgender werewolf from outer space" to describe myself these days (apart from it just sounding metal as fuck), ahaha.

@Thaminga It's good to nourish the parts of you that make you happy, dust off the neglect, give the part of you the love and nurture it deserves.
I know I'm sometimes worried that this means I am no longer a kangaroo but I am sure that I still am, and eventually I'll be just as happy to switch to being a roo again when the time comes.
