@kotep @irisjaycomics I mean if I had to guess I'd figure it has to do with humans being a combination of A) self-aware and B) apex predators, which leads to the obvious questions of "are we REALLY at the top of the food chain? what if we weren't?" and is probably also why there's exactly 0 cultures that don't have some kind of mythological people eating monster or w/e in their repertoire
sometimes the monster just turns out to be very real, and it's other ordinary-ass humans
