@ThatDamnCat nope, just SF. I'm trans and quite frankly scared of Texas at this point, so, I doubt I'll ever visit. deliberately didn't submit a paper to OSCON because it's in Austin this year, either :/

I hear ya.
Austin is a very friendly city to trans people and LGBTQ+ in general, so if you ever were going to come anywhere south, this is as close to the attitudes of the Bay Area as you're going to find. It really is okay here.
I hope your trip home was easy and you do get a good burger, but you have an open invite to try one here someday.
