things probably no one wants to hear me say:
- Twitter seems surprisingly capable of staying online without SRE supervision
- a fairly insignificant number of users appear to have reregged on other platforms, and don't appear to be actually using them
(re bullet point 2: I cross-post most of my messages and get zero interactions on Masto and like two interactions on Tumblr)
odds are fairly good Twitter dies a slow death due to lack of advertiser support, but the fast death theories seem less likely to me now

@pyrex My long-held issue is that Mastodon doesn't really have a developed ecosystem of apps built around it—which makes it harder to be constantly keeping an eye on it—for better and for worse.
