1. It's was more springy, so you could store some energy in them, which made it easier to move around on the bed.
2. The foam changes volume a lot (it's supposed to to conform to shapes), but that can make the fitted sheet billow and stretch.
3. Matresses with individually isolated spring coils don't seem to transmit motion as much as foam.
4. Foam doesn't breathe and we need to use minimal bedding to keep from overheating on the bottom. However that mean we sometimes get cold on top.
@alice@elekk.xyz however ymmv and getting to testsleep a mattress if possible helps a lot.
