"I have a daughter now."

"She's yours."
"I know. Why do you think I left in the first place?"
"To protect me?"
"To protect everyone around you. I would have killed anyone for even looking at you. Territorial instinct."
"Oh. And now?"
"Now she's old enough to hunt on her own."

"I didn't know you could be born that way."
"The best of us are. It's better than the other way, through blood and teeth and fear."
"So...are you taking her away now?"
"If she wishes, I will teach her. If not...I will stay and become less. For her. For my blood."
"We can do both. I'll teach her how to be human. You can teach her how to be Other."
