Before focus meds:
My attention is like trying to touch teflon--with enough pressure and effort, you can remain in one spot, but things slide around otherwise.
After focus meds (at least so far):
My attention is like touching velcro, with other velcro. Easy to attach, takes an effort to detach and relocate.
Not better, but different!

@mawr Yeah, I think I could more easily learn to live with the velcro though. Find methods to break me out of longer hyperfocus, stuff like that.
I'd rather have that than the teflon. O.o

There's no cure for ADHD, just tools to help you live with it.
