Random 2am gender thoughts
Too many people think of gender as a series of boxes that people are sorted into. Thinking of it as lots of boxes is better than just two, and accepting that people can move from one box to another is better than thinking they're fixed, but it's still sorting people into boxes.
Gender should be like a name badge at a convention. It's a tool to communicate and find common ground with others. You can hang it from a funky lanyard or put stickers on it and spot people with similar badges to hang out with. It shouldn't be limiting or defined by other people.
