for those of you wondering about the "Tyrfing" thing last night: it's a sword from Norse mythology, also something something Castlevania something Fire Emblem. I'm thinking of using it in my fic, but wanted to make sure I didn't immediately get flooded with "oh it's that one thing from $GAME!" associations, but it looks like it's obscure enough that I'm good. XD

@green shows up prominently in Walt Simonson’s “Ragnarok” too. Can’t praise that comic highly enough.

@Leucrotta ooh, I'll have to look that up--might be Relevant To My Interests, although I'd like to try to avoid any more "OH DAMN I NEED TO COMPLETELY REWRITE THIS IN LIGHT OF NEW INFORMATION" incidents at this point. >__< is it based on the mythology, or in the Marvel universe?

@green mythology. Simonson knows his stuff and there are things he references which I didn’t previously know about Norse mythology (plus stuff I knew because it was obscure and cool). And Ragnarok’s Thor is a lot smarter and grimmer than Marvel Thor.
