So, over here we have a thing called 'Veganuary' that has taken off over the last few years, where people try out eating Vegan for the first month of the year. And the Beef lobby have decided to try and fight back by saying that eating lots of stake and cheese is healthy. Only they can't actually say that, because it isn't. So instead, they're saying "Beef and Dairy. Full of Nutrients."

We'll see plenty more of this, and probably more vicious, in the rest of the decade. We've already seen vegan and vegetarian options become far more varied and selling many times more than a decade ago. With the quality of, say, vegan burgers improving so dramatically, and sometimes for lower prices than the meat versions, I can't see the livestock industry doing anything but shrink equally dramatically.
