im considering doing a thread about a prominent slave revolt in brazil with relation to black history month. is that even appropriate for me to do as a white person?

@daylight I think, as my own black person, that discussing, and even trying to educate and share information should be done by those who have it to those who don't, regardless of skin color. I for one don't think learned about any specific slave revolt and I certainly never heard of the one you want to talk about.

Intent counts for a lot. Intent doesn't _excuse_ bad/problematic behavior, but providing context is never a bad thing, IMO.
