Low self esteem, birdsite

So, I find myself doing the same thing I was doing on Birdsite, namely, watching all the people I'm following talk about their lives and their thoughts and everything going on, and i just…sit here and watch, like a social vampire, consuming content and trying to mistake it for actually being connected with people. And I don't much like it, but I kinda don't know how to stop it. I don't really think much about myself, so I find it hard to put myself out into the world.

@kelseyhusky If you're just trying to avoid the pull of birdsite I've found there are a couple of ways to train yourself out of this behavior:
1) On your phone, either delete or move the app you use for twitter to a far distant part of your phone.
2) Remove any app you use for twitter from your desktop dock.
3) If you start looking at it, set a small timer going (like 1 minute). After that, close it and walk away for at least 10 minutes.

@KoBunny It's not that I have problems going on birdsite, cause I haven't actively used birdsite in about 2 years. I'm just doing the same thing here, on Masto, that I was doing there: watching my feeds and never adding to the feeds of others.
