I made it to the pool today!

I'd been planning on starting back up right after I quit, but...yeah, I needed more recharge time than I thought. At least I did it within the month.

Before my fitness routine collapsed a year ago, I was swimming 3km a week plus the weightlifting.

I managed 0.5km today, which is about what I expected for the first time back. Wasn't expecting to be such a completely dead potato afterwards, though.

Went swimming again - it's amazing how rapidly some parts of your body remember how to be athletic.

On Friday, my first time back, my form started collapsing almost immediately, but I pushed on for the half-km.

Tonight, though, my lungs remembered how to do the thing and I sailed through a full 1km session pretty easily.

Still plenty of work to do, but that felt real good.
