@plsburydoughboy mobile games, probably, but I don't think the PC gaming market really is that big
@plsburydoughboy oh, you mean all time? yeah, that'd probably be a massive number, I'm more interested in how many people regularly buy PC games right now and how that compares to how many people have consoles
@plsburydoughboy though there's probably also a considerable number of people who only ever play one or two games, PC games probably have the highest longevity through community support
@plsburydoughboy hard to compare, I really wish there were better numbers on Sony online. I wouldn't consider the Pocketstation an actual Sony console, it was a console accessory.
@plsburydoughboy while MS would have trouble claiming Windows as a console since they don't design or make most of the hardware, Apple could probably easily claim the top 'console' manufacturer spot if they wanted to
@plsburydoughboy what I'd also find very interesting would be the mobile games market pre-smartphones, there were a ton of Java ME games (including "versions" of PC/console games) and it's really hard to even get them nowadays, let alone run them
