real talk though, I'm a bit uncomfortable with telling people they're furries when they don't wanna identify as one. I was under the impression that there's more to being a furry than "having a fursona". Lots of non-furries have favorite animals. I don't think every children's book author who writes about anthropomorphic animals is a furry (but I bet a lot of them are)
