@noiob Ooh, nice. This reminds me that I need to get around to setting up my PlayStation Classic. Was gonna try transferring my PSN purchases to it from my PS TV.
@jamesgecko the Playstation Classic doesn't connect to PSN
you can however hack it and just throw bin/cue files on a USB stick to play on it
@jamesgecko also uh
the PSTV probably has a better emulator
@jamesgecko oh, that's not good. Still, I wish I'd gotten one back when they were super cheap, there's some Vita games I'd like to check out… though I guess a Vita would be better for those
@noiob Oh, also! I can just slap a big USB stick on the Classic and fit all my games on it. The Vita's proprietary memory cards are super expensive; I can't fit more than a few multi-disc RPGs on the included card before running out of space.
@jamesgecko do the game-cart-to-SD adapters work in the PSTV? they also need hacks, obviously but SD cards are cheap
@noiob IIRC they work, but I read some complaints about hacks destabilizing the system (even more?!) so I haven't tried anything like that.
@jamesgecko iirc hacks can enable it to play games that haven't been officially cleared but obvs they can't give it a rear touchscreen and stuff
@noiob I love the PSTV's tiny hardware, but an actual Vita is 100% better. I got my PSTV at $60, and it's incompatible with basically every big Vita release I was interested it. 😅 It's now my flaky PS1/PSP machine.
