Loaded up my old ps3. When I say old I mean old, it’s got the Spider-Man font.
Thank god with the PS4 they stopped doing games that play music when you hover over the icon. It’s always so fucking loud and it’s the same 3 second loop.
Absolute worst pet about the ps3 is that whatever hard drive you put in about 5% of the storage is useless. It reserves a portion of the storage for caching for some games. Problem is it’s a percentage and no hard cap. So you put in 1TB? Around 50GB is useless. Doubly infuriating cuz some games just require an install negating the benefit of the cache.
Uncharted 3 notable ran poorly on old ps3s. Since the game had no install it used caching on the hdd to stream in assets. Old ps3s were as low as 20GB so if you never upgraded the game would glitch out in cutscenes or transitions.
