I don't like Meat Boy because they're basically die and retry games that expect you to do restrictive, narrow sequences of actions and that deprives me from the freedom I usually like to get from platformers

@Siph it's a lot more forgiving and encouraging than meatboy (at least the campaign) and there's a lot more depth to its movement and mechanics. It was free on Epic at some point

@Siph @noiob Celeste is also a die and retry platformer (you are sent back at the beginning of a screen when you fail). I have seen enough gameplay of it, and it does not appeal to me at all. I know there are different paths to the top of the mountain which correspond to different difficulty settings, and the hardest levels need precise input and sequence of actions.

@noiob no but I should give it a try someday but idk much about it except that it's a platformer that's difficult but with nice accessibility settings
