@starkatt it's just how they're usually built around here, especially in cities most houses are pretty old
@starkatt I mean, multi-family houses in the US probably use the same stuff, wood has its limits
@noiob The current-hotness multifamily construction method here is the five-over-one, which is several floors of wood frame on top of one or two floors of concrete/masonry.
