personal tangent to the whole "office workers as the face of work stress" thing

maybe i'm just a bit salty about this whole thing

bc that toxic-gamer-as-fuck former friend i blocked everywhere and cut out of my life recently

worked in an office at one of the really big evil tech companies and was an enormous fucking asshole about it

like just so goddamn privileged, making a shitload and yet always being an asshole about money. like...

lemme tell the perfect anecdote to illustrate

one time they ordered food right. and the place they ordered from forgot their drink

so they were like "i'm gonna put in a complaint and get my money back"

and me and another friend were like "NO DON'T you'll just make their lives more miserable, trust us we've been there"

and they were like "WELL I'M ENTITLED TO MY DRINK"

so we said "do you care about that drink more than the wellbeing of the person who made your food?"

and they were like "WELL... IF THEY CAN'T MAKE MY FOOD RIGHT..."

@noiob nopesies

when i worked at jack in the box

delivery orders were like done through a tablet computer

and once they were done they were done

if you got negative feedback through the app for forgetting something or giving out the wrong order you'd just get punished later
