goddamn, actually giving a shit about sourcing clips and images properly is a pain in the fucking ass

i have a friend who's an SCP writer and i wanna help him do like analog horror videos for his articles

but like to actually be able to use clips or images on the site you have to make sure they're either a very specific creative commons license or public domain

i have literally never done this, whenever i edit videos i just say "fuck it" and pull clips and pictures from wherever lmao

so actually having to give a shit... is very annoying

like i found some stock footage i wanna use

but it says "To USE the video, MUST LIKE the video and SUBSCRIBE to the channel !!!"

is this legally binding or can i ignore it lol i don't feel like subscribing

i mean it says the license is "Creative Commons Attribution license (reuse allowed)" so idk

like i doubt there's a clause in creative commons that mentions specifically subscribing on youtube??? there's no way they could enforce that

@vantablack not a lawyer but it's probably not enforceable anyways. I don't see how it's not legal to add clauses to an existing license, Youtube only lets you pick certain ones
