what an irresponsible article, I'm disappointed in Andrew for writing this and also in Ars Technica for publishing

the whole thing is based on a fiction that iFixit created which is that the M2 MacBook Air doesn't have any kind of passive cooling system at all.

also iFixit wtf really, did y'all really miss the obvious thermal paste and the heat spreader?

only tangentially related, didn't Apple actually build a computer with an air gap over the CPU? I think one of the MacBook Airs had just awful thermal design, there was a LTT video where they slapped coolers on it and basically gave up because it was power limited anyways
