hey is there any good Blog Software that you can just throw onto a server and host a blog on a website

especially if they allow for multiple authors? like there's a list of people with post permissions and when they write up a new blog post it shows who wrote it?

@monorail do you absolutely need a cms? cuz if you want sth simple and easy to maintain static site gens are great

@noiob i don't tbh! i don't need like Author Accounts i just need to be able to mark a post as having a specific author. it can be done manually by me

@noiob that being said i'm looking into if writefreely would do what i need, that seems simple enough to set up and a couple people recommended it

@monorail yeah static site gens usually have metadata fields, so "author" is possible

@noiob actually one person who also suggested a static site generator suggested hugo and it looks pretty simple with a blog theme, seems like it'd do what i need
