Do folks set their browsers to respect system light/dark mode, or set them to one or the other and leave it there? My website https://electrickeet.com/ is dark mode by default, but has a light mode color scheme. (This is ridiculously easy to do in CSS.) I keep wondering if this makes a difference to anyone or even shows up.
Heck, how many websites even bother? Am I being silly for having a light mode?
@electrickeet I've come across a bunch of websites following system dark/light mode settings, at least on my phone. I don't have my desktop switch because I dislike Windows's dark mode
@noiob Yeah, Windows' dark mode can be kinda butts, notably for folks like me who use basically no "Modern UI" apps. There's a lot of stuff that doesn't adapt at all, or does a half-hearted job.
But I prefer to leave it on dark mode and complain about stuff that doesn't work because... contrariness runs in my family? *shrug*
