oh wow the feet on the Lenovo Trackpoint keyboard 2 are garbage, they make them flex so much (and the material is so rigid) they break after deploying them like 20-30 times
@noiob I also broke one of those. You can have my intact one, I don't need the remaining one.
@cccpresser that'd be nice, I broke the one marked L7 (yup, they're two different parts)
@noiob Aaahhh... my working one is R7.
I did try to 3D print a replacement once. It was shit. Time to iterate and give it a 2nd try.
@cccpresser oops, I mixed them up, I broke R7. nevertheless, might be interesting to explore 3D printing, @stellaofspace what model did you use?
@noiob not from lenovo but i replaced mine with 3D printed ones :3
@stellaofspace somehow I think those would crack even faster (also there is a model for these online that can be ordered on etsy but it seems to be wrong)
@noiob idk, mine have held for over a year now and its a under 30min print so replacement is easily made
Lenovo won't even sell me replacements, is this some kind of plot to get people who like to deploy their keyboard feet to stop doing that?
