@mcc macos doesn't do hinting at all anymore so every letter is a good bit larger on a normal screen

@mcc I'm not aware of any way to change font rendering on current Mac OS. You used to be able to switch stuff back on with terminal commands but that's a few years ago, I doubt it still works and my only Mac is on the last version of the OS that still has 32 bit support.

Mac OS cares about font rendering, that's why they force you to buy a high-DPI display so your fonts look their best
