gonna have to have a setting like:
"what do u want 100% volume to mean?"
1. line level (default, normal, good)
2. max before clipping (Too Loud)
3. blow my head off

@jacqueline can you detect the impedance of the connected headphones and use that to switch to a higher limit? I think some LG phones used to do that

@noiob wow that sounds fancy. maybe dangerous though? like it's the SPL that matters more than the impedance, and you can't detect SPL AFAIK

@jacqueline well, the LG phones used it to select their higher-quality DAC (dunno how well it worked, my EU version didn't get that) which did have more power
