@clarfonthey I got a M2 Pro MBP for work and it's as close to the perfect laptop as I've ever seen. It's light, fast, sips power, the screen is gorgeous and the speakers are impossibly good. They even put ports back and unfucked the keyboard
@clarfonthey like, sure, it's not for everyone, you have to use macOS to make full use of the hardware and it's all in on USB-C, plus M2 and M3 still have those weird limitation on the number of supported screens but this really is a good computer
I don't think I could justify the cost for myself though, if I needed a proper laptop my 2015 MBP would probably still work fine with Linux… I've mostly been using the Steam Deck as a portable computer
