Someone who works at Google tells me that the YouTube people are TOTALLY separate, and completely uninterested in responding to any input from anyone else in the broader organization. They constantly do things like change the way the site works (for no reason that anyone else can see) in ways that break the browser, and then demand that the Chrome team change the browser to deal with it.

truly feels like their UX team is like do it first, ask questions later
