morning

woke up to my desktop computer not booting because of a CPU over temperature threshold error

it seems like the AIO cooler unit's fan has just like..failed

ugh I don't need this right now

looking at Canada Computers, they have one Arctic Liquid Freezer III 360 in stock at the local location that I can get to replace this failed AIO

so I'm gonna head over there when the store opens at 10AM

fingers crossed they actually have one in stock, I don't really want to use a different brand's AIO

not looking forward to taking the old AIO off and installing the replacement, I haven't touched the AIO installation since it was first installed years ago

ugh ugh ugh

fedi, what's the best way to remove old thermal paste off a CPU?

cc: @Shrigglepuss this seems like your wheelhouse
