also something I don't understand.. people saying data centers are loud (seemingly mostly in the US)
like internally yes, mostly because of all the airflow
but the ones I worked at in Sydney, from 20-50meters away they were pretty much silent... how are they so loud in the US?
I'm guessing it's something different about sound pollution regulation or something?
I honestly can't think of anything else.
@LottieVixen aren't they run with basically giant AC units? those can be very loud if the noise isn't mitigated
