idk who needs to hear this, but if you have a hand crank can opener thats getting hard to turn

you can drip a little cooking oil on to the friction-y parts & it ought to get easy again, no need to buy a new one

@johoda if you use mineral oil (and wipe off the excess) it won't go bad

@johoda having some mineral oil (sometimes sold as "sewing machine oil") at home is great for anything squeaky. wd-40 will get a thing unstuck but it won't lubricate it long-term
