ughhhh I've been hoping to just pop off this crankset off my old bike to replace it (it's worn) but turns out the threads the crank puller screws into are weaker than the way the crank is wedged onto the spindle

I think the only way to get this off would be to angle grind it

working on bikes is really easy and fun until you end up at a part like this

the kinda jank trick if you don't wanna reuse the cranks (I was never planning to) seems to be to put the bolts back in but loosely and try and ride the bike around a bit. I don't know how much riding I can do on this since the gears are pretty far gone but it's worth a shot I suppose
